As far as the Airmaster Propeller is concerned, I have been completely satisfied with its ability to impressively improve aircraft performance. I wanted to be able to operate from and to farm strips and the improved take off performance was a No1 consideration.
The fact that one can access all available power by using manufacturers rated maximum engine revs makes a huge difference on take off. Similarly in the cruise the engine can be set a economical level of fuel burn while maintaining a excellent cruise speed with added benefit of lower engine revs and a quieter flight experience.
The Airmaster system is very pilot friendly with a minimum of input required to operate.
The preset engine revs for take off, climb and cruise make it all so simple.
I cannot speak highly enough of the after sales service. I did have a problem with propeller electrics which was not caused by a Airmaster failure but rather a faulty voltage regulator in the aircraft.
Nevertheless, Airmaster quickly replaced parts and were extremely helpful in fixing the problem. This is an added benefit of dealing with a onshore company.
The system itself is of very high quality. It is great to see superior world class equipment like the Airmaster High Performance Propeller system being designed and manufactured here in New Zealand.
